How InstAlert works, start to finish.

1. Run a search on the site

Open one of the supported sites and set the filters the way you normally search: model, price range, location, year. What matters is that you end up on a results page, not on a single listing.

  • myauto.ge — cars and motorcycles
  • myhome.ge, ss.ge, livo.ge — real estate
  • mymarket.ge — electronics and goods
  • myparts.ge — car parts
  • myjobs.ge — job vacancies
  • copart.com — vehicle auctions

2. Paste the link into the app

Copy the URL out of your browser's address bar and tap “Add filter” in the app. We read the filters out of the link ourselves — there is nothing to fill in by hand.

If the search is far too broad (thousands of results) we refuse it and say so: a filter like that would send you dozens of alerts a minute. Add a price or location filter and try again.

3. The first check sends nothing

As soon as you add a filter we record the listings that already exist — and send you none of them. That is the baseline: without it, a new filter would fire hundreds of alerts in its first minute. While this is happening the filter reads “nothing yet”. Alerts start from the next check onwards.

4. What you get alerted about

  • A new listing — something matching your filter appeared that we had never seen anywhere before.
  • A price drop — a listing we already knew got cheaper. We keep the old price too, so the alert shows both.

We never alert you twice about the same listing.

5. How often we check

By default we check every 10 minutes; you can change that in Application Settings. Checking more often means faster alerts, but we cannot hammer the source sites indefinitely — which is why there is a floor.

6. If no alerts arrive

  • Check Application Settings → Notifications — it has to be on.
  • In your phone's own settings, InstAlert needs permission to post notifications.
  • Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung close background apps aggressively — exempt InstAlert from battery optimisation.
  • Alerts are stored in the app as well: the Notifications button always shows what you missed.
